Do you need Romanian consular services but find it difficult to travel all the way to Chicago or Washington, D.C.?

The Consulate General of Romania in Chicago will organize an Itinerant Consulate at our office in Florence, Kentucky!

🇷🇴 Upcoming Itinerant Consulate Event

The Honorary Consulate of Romania in Kentucky, in collaboration with the Romanian Consulate General in Chicago, announces an itinerant consulate event scheduled for June 8-10, 2025. This event provides Romanian citizens residing in Kentucky and surrounding areas direct access to essential consular services.

Important Information:

Appointment Required

The itinerant consulate will operate exclusively by prior appointment. Schedule appointments through the official Romanian consular portal: www.econsulat.ro. Applicants must have or create a valid account.

Appointment Request Procedure

After submitting your online application, you'll receive a unique application number (format PE xxxxxxxx). Once validated, send an appointment request email no later than June 1, 2025 to: Chicago.itinerant@mae.ro, with CC to dan@kyconsul.com.

Your email should include:

  • Application number(s)
  • Type of consular service requested
  • Your full name
  • Your phone number

    Important Notes:

    • Applications must be assigned to "Misiunea Diplomatică/oficiul consular: Chicago."
    • Ensure application completion and approval online.
    • No walk-in services available.

    Document Requirements

    • All U.S. documents require an apostille from issuing state.
    • All documents must have authorized translations into Romanian.
    • Original documents mandatory.
    • Provide pre-labeled and stamped envelopes for return documents.

    Please use the front entrance of the building, proceed to elevators, go to the 5th floor, turn right, and check in with the receptionist.
